**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports and statements, as well as ensuring the organization is in compliance with relevant financial regulations. **Responsibilities:**

- Perform month-end closing activities.

- Review/approve accounts payable transactions

- Balance/confirm inter- and intra- company transactions.

- Prepare monthly financial statements.

- Present financial reports to the board of directors monthly.

- Reconcile/review monthly bank statements and internal accounts.

- Work with external auditors to complete multiple Low Income Tax Credit Housing partnership audits

- Prepare quarterly reports for Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.

- Assist staff with department-related problem solving.

- Prepare payment applications for new construction.

- Prepare monthly billing for related entities.

- Develop financial spreadsheets as needed.

- Work with Development & Management Team on special projects.

- Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments as needed

- Mentor department staff and provide training on department procedures

- Stay current with changing financial regulations and industry best practices

**Experience:**

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting. Experience with Quickbook is preferred. Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles for non-profit, for-profit, and governmental accounting is essential for this role. A background in financial management and analytical skills are also necessary. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this position.

Additional skills include:

- Familiarity with PHFA, DCED, HUD, and other governmental agencies preferred

- Ability to supervise and manage staff

- Strong organizational skills

- Creative problem solving

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
